Allah :swt: states in the Qur'an,
وَيَخْلُقُ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ (النحل:8) ـ
"And He creates that which you do not know" [16:8]
Our Shaykh, Mufti Saiful Islam mentions, that the verb used (يخلق) is used for the present tense and the future tense. So this means we can take it as Allah is currently creating that which we don't know and in the future he will carry on creating what we cannot imagine!
Allahu Akbar.
To this day, approximately 8.7 MILLION species of life have been discovered. This includes Land animals, Plants, Oceanic animals and insects. That however, is not all.
Allah swt has told us, he creates that which we have no clue of. National geographic estimates that 86% of Earths species are STILL unknown.
Allahu Akbar. Allahu Akbar.
If the 14% discovered amounts to 8.7 MILLION,
Only Allah knows about the remaining 86%.
The Scholars of the Qur'an also mention that Allah is also giving a subtle indication here to the Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam, towards our generation. That such Locomotives, Jet Planes, Cars etc. I will create but you don't know about them. Allah creates them by inspiring Man with the knowledge of how to create them.
May Allah help us understand the Qur'an.
