I have not yet become muslim because i am worried that if i do i will not be able to pray 5 times day and i don't want to be a bad muslim. i also won't be able to do many things like this without having to explain to my parents who yelled at me for even defending islam. i really want to become muslim but I'm not sure if i should wait a few years so that i can do everything right or if i should convert now but not act properly in my faith. I'm quite confused about what to do if anyone has any advice on what to do it would be really appreciated

Salam alaykum

Please dear sister, don´t wait even any minute to become a muslim. If you feel in your heart that Islam is the right path, the moment when you can to revert is now.

Don´t worry if you can or cannot make everything right at the beginning. Take your time to prepare yourself to this new path because learning how to do everything right takes the lifetime - from every of us. Don´t worry if you can pray prefectly from the first day or how your parents think about your new life (some don´t tell to their parents at the same time they revert if it feels it´s not the good time but later when they are older and wiser). Little steps is the thing you need to remember.

السلام على من اتبع الهدي

Sister,

I do understand your concerns. What we should also understand, is that, whenever a person intends good the devil will always create obstacles and give reason for doubt.

Positive thinking leads to positive results. Think positively and be confident that you will be a good Muslim and pray to Allah almighty to guide you and keep you steadfast.

I suggest you accept Islam immediately as there are no guarantees regarding the future. Accept with a positive mind and sincerely, Allah will assist you.

May Allah thee almighty guide us all. Aameen

When you join a school, you first join grade 1, then grade 2, then grade 3 and so on.
You don't directly study for grade 10, and join grade 10, do you? :D.

So you must not delay it.
First at least take the admission :D, as in, take the Shahada, then later on you can learn and slowly practice and Inshallah you will turn in to a practicing Muslim one day Inshallah sister.
So first take the admission, and slowly start from class 1 to more.
You don't have to join class 10 now :D.

Hope this helps.
God bless.

sister if you can show me a perfect human being i would tell you that i've been had.
each individual is in pledge for his/her deeds and the nearer you get to perfection the better.
the grades of paradise are ultimately for those who submitted to Allah and the grades of hell are for those who ultimately rejected Him.
that's the simple reality.
you can choose which you like and then work at getting to nearest to the top or bottom as possible but know that Allah is the ultimate reality and that He will judge each and every single one of us.

there are good and not so good citizens, then there are bad and not so bad criminals.

assalamualaikum rebekka
welcome to islam
don't worry ... this just from devil
he don't want you to win islam
dont want you to do this big step in your life
so ask allah to help you
you know ... when you say shahada
you will find the peace in your heart
and when you do the duties in islam you will have power to do more than
islam is easy because yourself need it
so be calm
and promise to your self to be good and
Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity.
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
A bedouin came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: "O Messenger of Allah! Direct me to a deed by which I may be entitled to enter Jannah." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Worship Allah, and never associate anything with Him, establish Salat, pay the Zakat which has been enjoined upon you, and observe Saum of Ramadan." He (the bedouin) said: "By Him in Whose Hand my soul is, I will never add anything to these (obligations)." When he turned his back, the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "He who wants to see a man from the dwellers of Jannah, let him look at him (bedouin)."
i will be happy to be your sister and your friend
your sister maryam from algeria

Dear Sister

The prophet (pbuh), delivered the message of Islam in 23 years, 13 years in makka (his birth city) and 10 years in madina (an other city where he traveled).

During the first 13 years of his mission the the Quran focused on only one thing, GOD IS ONE, be loyal to GOD and worship no other thing beside the creator.

Praying 5 times a day came 11 years after the prophet (pbuh) sent to the world.

if you focused on knowing ALLAH, and contemplating on Quran and the message of Quran, you'll reach your goal of becoming a good muslim.

Last advice, have a MUSLIM friends who are serious about their religion and islamic teachings, this will help alot.

Make dua for Allah to make it easy for you and Allah doesn't ask much from you when it comes to your 5 prayers. Go to the Masjid and make a ton of Muslim friends and you will find things easier. Trust me.
