Arabic vs. English - A Spiritual Comparison

You are correct, very good article. i am just now at the very VERY beginning stages of learning Arabic and this gave me a new respect for the language.

The article makes a few mildly interesting points about the structure and vocabulary of Arabic, without really tying together what makes them so important. Meanwhile, English is held to be bad because of things like the words for the days of the week. The fact that they are derived from ancient gods says nothing about the beliefs of the people who use such words, so why this is a bad thing is never properly explained.

There is also an example of false etymology to support the bizarre central thesis:

In fact, the word 'decide' is believed to come from two Latin roots: de ('off') and caedere ('cut'). As for the killing of a god, we have a different word for that: 'deicide'.

Funny that. I'm not sure if this guy did formal language study. To compare "decide", a well chosen word was used, 'fits'. It fits the explanation he gave. I think that is skewed.

But on the whole, I myself (ego double extra :shade:) have already decided that English was godless as a language. Only could not find a way to articulate. Only in feeling. Although on a professional level, I'd much prefer to converse in English, but when I dua, I do it in Malay. I find it more reflective words relating to my place way, way, way down. So limited in capabilities..

So! On another note, that means in speaking English, we are are inadvertently calling out a lot of pagan god's names. :o

Should I worry?

It kinda scares me, not just for myself but but the world especially my own kids. . . . Satan made that vow and has successfully 'whispered' shaped what became the international language. Helped accelerate the his plans.

Which has allowed another thought to cross my mind. Was English already around then? To be even considered? (joke)

What other language could the Message come to anyway? It HAD to be from the line of Nabi Ibraheem (pbuh). That was Allah's promise to him. You know what would happen if our guide s.a.w. was sent amongst those same people Isa (pbuh) was sent. What would happen? What happened too Yahya? Zakariya? And how many countless others (pbuta).
