Assalam o A lyceum,
I am doing my Ph.D. in Linguistics and my topic is 'semantic change of Arabic elements used in Urdu'. So please give me some words, idioms and phrase that are borrowed from Arabic but they are used with a different meaning in Urdu.
Eg: 'tahaffuz' word of Arabic means 'caution, precaution' but in Urdu, it is used for 'security'.
