I don't think Allah Hafiz is Arabic. I only hear Asians using it.
I think Qurratal Ayn means....erm.... Mawaddah translated that for me one time. I can't remember the literal meaning, but it's supposed to be liek 'apple of my eye'.

Pakistanis to be more precise. And technically, Arabs are Asians. Stop racial profiling! (I'd put a tongue-in-cheek smiley, but I'd get accused of fitnah and swamped by groupies)

Another version is 'Khuda Hafiz', which I think means 'God Bless', or 'God be with you'. Something like that.

Calm down, lol. I hear some Afghans using it too. But sorry, I didn't mean to offend you.
And jah, I knew what it meant. I have alot of Pakistani friends.
W'salaam

Allah Haafiz Actually is an Arabic word, only it is not used by the Arabs.

Haafiz means Guardian or Protector.

Fi Aman Allah means : In Allahs Protection

In other words when you're saying it to someone you're saying "May you go under Allahs Protection"

Khuda-means God
Hafizh-means something like preserving
so what's the literal meaning? may God look after you or something..?
