I would rather get a B while also learning a lot because grades doesn't matter all the time and learning is what will help you in your career.

For example, A manager would not promote a team member if he doesn't know about the project he's working on and though he has got good grades.

Sometimes grades does matter a lot and you need to cheat to get an A. :p Believe me you wont mind doing that if required...:D

Clear cut question

Not really. Like most things, it really depends... It depends on the class, the subject, the reason you took the class, etc... There are some classes where I'd like an A, but I don't care if I learn anything. At the same time, there are others where I'd much rather take something from the material, even if my grade suffers.

isn't there a way to get A and have a good learning ? Anyway, once you get your diploma and start working you will know then that what you learnt is what matters, if you are still a student then no way to convince you to get a B instead of A :D

Beardo needs to learn a lot of things...:p

If you get a B or even an F do not cry and never lose hope...:p Desi mom's not going to kill you...:D

This reminds me.. I was 2 marks of an A in both of my a level exams. >_>

Truth is:

Have I ever gotten an A ...wishing I had a B instead? No.

I couldn't decide. If I was getting an A, but not learning "much" (translation: not learning anything) then the class would feel like a complete waste of my time. At the same time, if I was learning a lot, while also studying and working hard, then I would not be happy with the B. If a class was just plain difficult, and I wasn't learning anything, because I didn't understand any of it-- then I'd be happy just getting that C! :exhausted No one here wants to know how much I have studied in life (or not studied) and what kind of grades I have made. :nervous:

I guess I'll just vote for the easy A, and be happy for the class time to doodle, read, or write. :statisfie

I remember in my grad school days and I was teaching at a University in Louisiana on a fellowship earning my MS. The first thing the university president told me was. Be nice to your A students one of them may make a great discovery and bring you fame. Be nicer to your B students one of them may become rich and give a substantial donation to the University. Be the nicest to your C students, one of them will probably be your boss someday.

The one who revises for knowledge and implementation will surpass the one who merely revises for a grade.

How could anyone get an A and not learn anything or not much?

I voted for B cos I'd like to carry some knowledge with me
