If you are reading this post, then it means that you've experienced the first birth which every living being experiences. After months of residence within the womb, one is finally released into a different world altogether, one of more expanse and variety than the womb.

It is not this birth however which counts, but it is the second one that matters the most. This is when one is finally released from the wombs of ignorance, perpetual sin & misguidance to the expanse of light & 'iman, to then inhale the pure airs of obedience, where one's purpose is discovered and the path of Paradise is finally chosen.

This second birth is only given to those whom Allah has chosen.

Allah said,

"Is one who was *dead* and then We gave him *life* and made for him light by which to walk among the people like one who is in darkness, from which he can never come out?" (Al-Qur'an)

This birth is, for many people, a quick and easy process.

Nothing is dearer to them than the path of Allah.

For others, a caesarian is required.

They await a calamity to befall them before finally turning to Allah.

There are others however who are trapped in the womb, unable to emerge.

*This* is the calamity of all calamities -

To depart from this world without being born.

:salam:

May Allah guide us. Ameen.

Remember - if you ask for guidance - then Allah WILL guide you. Have trust in Him!

Assalaamu alaikum Ali Hammuda,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. (smile) They are interesting to meditate upon. I thought I'd add the following reference for any who would be interested in exploring more.

Qur'an 6:122

Asad
:
IS THEN HE who was dead [in spirit] and whom We thereupon gave life, and for whom We set up a light whereby he might see his way among men 108 - [is then he] like one [who is lost] in darkness deep, out of which he cannot emerge? [But] thus it is: goodly seem all their own doings to those who deny the truth.

May Allah, the Opener, Help us to see.
