In the Trump culture, being merciless has become a virtue.

No. The Left was merciless first, so the Right responded by becoming merciless too. Now all of America is merciless. Let us pray for a civil war where the merciless Right and merciless Left slaughter each other and reduce the number of merciless people in this world.
