Boy and friend Haram?..

As salamu alaikum

Okay it took me 10 years to to express my mind
Why is it Haram to have a boy and friend in Islam
As long as you don't do the actual crime of Zina?...
Someone you can talk to openly about everything?
Just a boy that is a friend is it Haram to have a boy and friend
Who you can only express Islam with

Maybe like a brother in faith?

Who you can talk with modesty as long as he is Muslim?...

Nothing involving sex?...

Assalam o alaikum rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

Friendship with opposite gender is forbidden because no matter how strong our faith is. Shaytan will always trick them to commit zina.
Hadith



حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُبَارَكِ أَنْبَأَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُوقَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ خَطَبَ النَّاسَ بِالْجَابِيَةِ فَقَالَ قَامَ فِينَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَ مَقَامِي فِيكُمْ فَقَالَ اسْتَوْصُوا بِأَصْحَابِي خَيْرًا ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ يَفْشُو الْكَذِبُ حَتَّى إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَبْتَدِئُ بِالشَّهَادَةِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُسْأَلَهَا فَمَنْ أَرَادَ مِنْكُمْ بَحْبَحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ فَلْيَلْزَمْ الْجَمَاعَةَ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ مَعَ الْوَاحِدِ وَهُوَ مِنْ الِاثْنَيْنِ أَبْعَدُ لَا يَخْلُوَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ بِامْرَأَةٍ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ ثَالِثُهُمَا وَمَنْ سَرَّتْهُ حَسَنَتُهُ وَسَاءَتْهُ سَيِّئَتُهُ فَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ.



It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that 'Umar bin al-Khattab addressed us in al-Jabiyah, and said:

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood before us as I am standing before you, and said: "I urge you to show respect to my Companions, then those who come after them, then those who come after them, then lying will become so widespread that a man will start to give testimony before he is asked to do so.Whoever among you wants to attain a spacious abode in Paradise, let him adhere to the jama'ah (main body of Muslims), for the Shaitan is with the one who is alone, but he is further away from two. And no one of you should be alone with a woman for the Shaitan will be the third one present. The one who is pleased with his good deeds and upset by his bad deeds is a believer."

So dont try to start friendship.

[FONT=&quot]Islam forbids a man to be alone with a non-mahram woman (one who is not his wife or a close relative) even if he is teaching her the Qur’aan, which is the Book of Allaah, That is because the Shaytaan (Satan) would come between them.

The Prophet of Islam (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “No man is alone with a woman but the Shaytaan will be the third one present.”

If she does not understand something and wants someone to explain it to her about Islam and the teachings, it is permissible (for her to speak to a man) so long as there is no khulwah (being alone with a member of the opposite sex) involved – so she could have a mahram (close relative) with her, or a group of women, and the man should be a trustworthy Muslim, or a group of trustworthy men who could sit with this woman and teach her about Islam so that she can understand it and proof be established for her. This is permitted.[/FONT]
 
Not only that as eveyone states, but people take advantage of others. Women and both men get abused and used. Even if they are friends, shaytan will tempt you to develop more and it increases. Then people justify being in it claiming they will marry but in the end, someone's or both lives get destroyed. If Allah says something is haram, it is for a REASON. Emphasize on that. Sometimes he doesn't tell us out of his mercy and wisdom. Another example can be , two people like each other and have relations. When they finally decide to get married, family has issues. They could have been addressed in the beginning, had they took it that way. Opposite gender should only be sealed with in terms of necessity and businesses. May Allah make it easy for you and hope this helps
