Al-Salamu Alaykum,
I just want to announce that i have canceled my Citibank master card starting to boycott all the American products to show my support to Lebanon and Palestine.

when the representative asked me of the reason why I'm canceling it... i told her that I'm boycotting the American product bcz of the recent events in Lebanon...

she said that my reason is understandable, and she canceled it immediately...

I'd actually like to find a bank that doesn't rob me of my hard earned money...
chase takes $10 monthly for maintenance. they cashed another $10.00 for the last three check I deposited... albeit it something I don't do often.... I thought maybe the lady behind the counter is getting on in years?.... as I couldn't understand what her explnation was for the large sum they were extorting... they also take $2.00 from me each time I use ATM.... if I make two debit transaction and I am over my limit they cash the larger sum first so they can penalize me twice with over fees... This usually happens when I am on vacation as I have no way of checking how much I have in the bank... I'd love a friendly neighborhood bank with fast friendly service and not extortion with a wicked smile..... for now I guess it beats storing it in the mattress? lol...

i dont use them but thats a great idea, but remember your federal income tax also goes to support of wars, i dont know how but i found out that u have a right to say where ur tax money goes to

maybe if i have time tonight i will do some research on it being that the United States gave Israel a blank check to do what it pleases against Lebanon and Palestine.

at least the representative have noted that in her account that i have canceled it for that reason... which will hopefully make them complain about the acts of their governments against Lebanon since they are loosing customers...

Um this sounds illegal, the only time a bank has a right to charge fees is if u go under the required amount like in my bank its 300 or they fee me 3 dollars each month that it goes under or if a check bounces, what ur saying doesnt make sense, that and also with atms they cant charge u unless u use another banks atm and if u are stop that cause its a major waste of money just use ur own banks atms except in emergencies. banks are not suppose to charge for maintnance ever :grumbling thats against fcc laws.

You can give a large chunk for charity then have it go down as a tax write off... actually you can do that along with zakat.... The children hospital I found is a good way to do that... they live on donations and at least you know your money is aiding children who desperately need it.....

You know you are not the only person who said this to me... I am really starting to think they are ripping me off.. sadly in manhattan there is chase manhattan and citi bank... even when I travel to other parts of the country GA or MD they have never heard of chase.... I scream at them it is one of the biggest banks and they just have this blank stare a tongue through cheek type of look.... I am sure there are small banks all around but I need a reliable reputable one and chase is already shady as is... I don't want to take my chances with even worst standards

No, I am not kidding. Lamaggad is in Canada, so the question is valid for her. Of course it would not make sense for you, being that you are in the US.

You may be barking up the wrong tree on this one. I seriously doubt if Israel would have listened to the U.S. in this situation in regards to their own national security. That being said, with the knowledge of Lebanese civilians suffering the brunt of this conflict, I would have preferred that Condi Rice call for an immediate cease-fire and get international peace-keepers in there to protect Israel from Hezbollah rockets and protect the people of Lebanon from further bombing from Israel.

Which bank will get your business now?
