We were taken by soldiers in the night,
Sold by fellow Muslims, was this right?
Our guns we had handed over as asked to do,
Trying to follow the rules of Islam, but we didn’t have a clue.
As we laid our tired bodies to rest,
The tribal leader sat back and began to jest.
Only he knew how much he had sold us for,
It wasn’t long till the soldiers came crashing in..
So many of them, then came more.
We were defenseless to fight,
Again I ask, was this right?
If only I had had my gun, I might have been shaheed, but instead a fellow Muslim committed a terrible deed.
Oh, this man was very keen, but I wonder how strong was his deen?
For he sold out fellow Muslims, he sold out Mujahideen.
That money he took and spent,
Did he ask Allah’s forgiveness after it went?
On the Day of Judgment, I ‘m thankful I won’t stand in his shoes,
For what he did reminds me of the Jews.
They dragged us and threw us on the sand,
Who are they? This isn’t their land!
They screamed obscenities then shackled us,
Our spirit and strong will, they wanted to crush.
Locked away in a Pakistani jail,
Oh, the stories they have given us to tell.
Sometime later they injected us and made us sleep,
For it is us they fear and want to keep.
We were shaved; our clothes stripped away, and then tied down where we lay.
When we awoke we found ourselves in a facility called “GUANTANAMO BAY”
Shackled, beated down, not even allowed to pray…
Oh, how Al Mighty Allah will give them their day.
The things they do are grim and sinister,
They think they did something special by giving us a Christian minister!
Mujahideen… we are strong and proud,
Within our hearts Islam rings loud.
They try to break us with bright lights that take our sleep away,
They place their foot on our necks as we kneel to pray.
They tell the world we are a threat.
These words one day they’ll regret.
If I told you all we bare, you could not grasp nor believe,
All the torture that we receive there.
One man locked away, tortured by being wrapped in an Israeli flag,
How he longs to see his captures in a body bag.
Others beaten and what was their terrible crime?
They read Quran to pass the time.
They come to a different cell each and every night,
We are shackled, we cannot fight.
They say “not prisoners of war, DETAINEES”
So why do they keep us from our families?
They keep everyone away, afraid they will see,
I wonder if anyone knows what they’ve done to me?
When I think I can’t take anymore.
Allah gives me strength to endure.
My mother…she taught me well,
Otherwise I couldn’t survive this living hell.
Jihad it was, she taught me about,
To Allah I will return, without a doubt.
There are those that aren’t as strong as I mentally,
They were broken unfortunately.
Those broken …now insane,
Others beaten so that now they walk with the use of a cane.
There are a few children here too,
What crime did they possibly do?
Some of us never had a wife,
For Allah we did sacrifice.
No children did I bare,
It was for my fellow Muslims that I did care.
Now locked up like an animal in a cage,
Where’s my fellow Muslims outrage?
Is there anyone out there brave enough to tell our story,
For they will receive insha Allah, Allah’s sweetest Glory.
Now that you know our plight,
Will you fellow Muslims carry on the fight?
Or will you turn and look away,
Forgetting all that I swear and say?
Or will you listen to American policy?
All their lies about democracy!
These words they use to conquer the Muslimeen,
They change people’s hearts and weaken their deen.
Oh Muslim, don’t buy into their notion of freedom,
Or Allah may turn you away from His Glorious Kingdom.
