I have been doing research regarding Istikhara Prayer/Dua myself for quite a while and my findings are that it’s not better. Please suggest me an authentic source of guidance. Your suggestions will be highly appreciated!!

Salah Istikhara is salah that we can perform when we face difficulty in make decision or make a choice. I bold "can" because salah istikhara it not must, not obligated. If you must make a decision or make a choice, but you are sure you can consider by yourself what you should do, you don't have to perform salah istikhara.

Don't force yourself to perform salah istikhara if you don't want to perform it.

The question is why we do...

This has been on my mind for at least 5 years. I'm of the question why we don't?

As far as I know we must have clear choices. Which to choose? Hence the obvious, to marry or not. But if done regularly you will pick blessing with every action taken.

Perhaps during the heyday of the Islamic empire, the great ideas stemmed from the practice of it mg:

The thing is once you receive the sign which to choose, you have to stick to it. Even if you go down hill for a while. The end result is better for you.

Having said all that, I have never tried. :hmm:
