Can religious / pious people of Allah predicts the future about marraige?

Aslamualikam friends, I am glad to find a community where I can ask questions with my Muslim brothers and sisters.I love a girl and we have been in a relationship for a year. We have talked about everything about our future - She is into respecting my parents & obeying them because this is what her family taught her which matters a lot in a Muslim family. There are plenty of red flags too but not the major ones because we aren't perfect.so my mom asked her religious people (to whom she is Bait). She asked whether the girl I liked was okay for me in the future?They didn't show positive signs to my mother. They were more into "think about it" before jumping into that girl - because it may create problems in the future. So I'm dishearted right now. Do I have to authorize the girl from them before I start like someone? Of course not. I mean why do we predicts when only Allah knows about it? and most important - If someone isn't good for your faith. We can pray to make things better, right? I've been offering Tahajud too to get her. Can religious people predict the future of someone's marriage whether is it going to work or not? وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاتهNo human being has knowledge of the future. Only Allah سبحانه وتعالى knows what will happen in the future. The way to seek guidance about marrying someone is to perform Salatul Istikharah. We are not allowed to go to fortune tellers, which is a very serious mistake.

No creature can predict the future, not man, not angel, not jinn.
Only Allah knows the future. Allah can grant certain humans or other creatures the prediction of certain events in the future, but it is very very limited.

The only things we can predict in the future is things like weather which are based in knowledge and experience.
Like, if I see such clouds in that direction with such wind, it means rain for this area and sun for that area.
predictions like that can be pretty accurate, but never a guarantee.

1) Can they tell whether the person is clever or not?

2) If istkhira isn't in my favour - can I pray to Allah to make things better for me? because I want her and so does she. Because even when isthikara is positive still people get divorced. so, can we make negative stuff that appears in isthikara to be positive?

1) define "they". I do not know who they are. Psychiatists probably can tell who is "smart" and who isn't. And what do you mean by "smart"? smart like intelligent? look at her degrees did she study or not? or do you mean like sane, rational, sensible person?
no one can see the inside of another person.

2) you can always pray. there is nothing against that. yes, people get divorced even with positive isthikara. getting divorced is of course bad, but that person probably needed that life lesson. Allah has plans for everyone. we cannot always see the wisdom behind it.

"they" means to whom my mother is Bait. Bait means when you put your hand in the hand of a pious person and take an oath of allegiance. The person whom you choose to take bait with must be a person who has taqwa, abides by all the laws of the Shariah, has humility and he is a person who has permission to make mureeds.I have no idea, either they've done isthikara of my mom's behalf to see if my life is compatible with her or not.. and they have said, "you must think about it before doing".. means they are not in favour of this marriage. While they said, "yes this girl is good for him" for my brother because he liked a girl too.

Wait, this starts to sound very fishy all of a sudden. you must take an oath of allegiance for his services? what kind of allegiance?
Do I have to promise to never tell anyone? do I have to bring certain personal stuff? What do I have to promise?
do I also have to pay? If a scheich asks for such things, you immediately know that there is someting not quite right.

I would leave immediately if a sheich asked me to do something like that.

The person whom you choose to take bait with must be a person who has taqwa, abides by all the laws of the Shariah, has humility and he is a person who has permission to make mureeds.

This still does not guarantee whether the person is good or evil. he could have aquired all his papers and permissions and gone ashtray after it.

I do not want to judge someone based on some sentences about him on the internet, but this sounds very suspicious to me right now. I would stay away from them as far as possible. They might know a thing or few with the help of jinn or so, but believe absolutely no information that would be beneficial for you or your mom.
