Tunisia to prevent sex slaves’ trips to Syria



The Women's Ministry of Tunisia says it will develop a plan aimed at preventing the country’s women from traveling to Syria to be used as comfort women by the foreign-backed Takfiri militants.


“The ministry intends to boost its cooperation with both government and non-government bodies on this issue to come up with appropriate ways to thwart the plans of those who encourage such practices,” the ministry said in a statement released on Saturday.

The ministry further said it would work to prepare a plan of information, sensitivity and education “targeting women and families everywhere to warn them of the seriousness of these practices,” adding that a crisis group has already been formed.

On Thursday, Tunisia’s Interior Minister Lotfi ben Jeddou said that Tunisian women who traveled to Syria had been working as sex partners for foreign-sponsored militants fighting against the Syrian government.

“They have sexual relations with 20, 30, 100 (militants). After the sexual liaisons they have there in the name of 'jihad al-nikah' - (sexual holy war, in Arabic) - they come home pregnant,” Ben Jeddou noted.

Meanwhile, a Saturday statement by Tunisia’s Health Ministry said that “an increase in the number of young women leaving for so-called jihad al-nikah” has been noted.​

It is not specified how many women have gone to Syria, but media reports put the figure at hundreds.

Hundreds of Tunisian men have also left their country to join the foreign-backed militants in Syria.

A very large number of the militants operating inside Syria are reportedly foreign nationals. According to reports, the Western powers and their regional allies, especially Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey, are supporting the militants in the Arab country.

If this is true, then it would have been better for them to get married to four women each instead.

This could all be false news. Unless there are actual women who come up and say they did this and became victims in the end themselves, then there is no actual proof that this has happened.

Just so you guys know. This is not prostitution, this is an old practice called "comforting" and was common in Japan amongst samurai.

A "Comfort woman" is a girl who makes a man feel "comfortable" in a time of war. The main logic behind this is that women believe that by having the birth to a person of noble status this makes them wealthy in status as well.

Whether it be a samurai or a freedom fighter the logic is the same.

I of course am against this as I find it detrimental for any woman to enter into a battlefield for such a purpose. If you want to bear the child of a person with great honor then marry him when he comes back alive. I personally think many of these freedom fighters deserve a wife(perhaps two) for dealing with Assad.

I find this entire practice to be somewhat off to be honest but again, I do understand the thinking behind such women but morally, rationally, religiously or even secularly I find it rather dumb.


If a woman wishes to comfort a fighter then marry him when the war is over or when he leaves the battlefield. Cook, clean and make his days 10x more better. Approach him with a beautiful smile, submissive attitude and grateful demeanor. Marry him and make the relationship binding and THEN you can bear his children.
