After a lot of worries about breaking oaths, I actually came across an oath I wrote down a few years ago. I wrote 'I promise to Almighty Allah, that I will make a conscious effort to stop lying'. I do make a really big effort to make sure I don't lie NOW. However, back when I first wrote that oath down and made the intention, I was still very misguided on to the wrong path and I broke the oath by lying.

My question is, is it okay for me to use online website such as islamic relief to donate my kaffarah now? They said the kaffarah is going to be about 35 pounds to feed ten people twice a day. Is this permissable?

I just wanted to edit this, I have spoken to my imam where I live and he said to come and meet him on Monday and give him the money and he will make sure it gets paid out as kaffarah. Is this permissible then? I'm guessing it is okay to trust him since after all he is an imam and insha Allah, why would he have any other agendas etc?

Asalaamu Alaikum, yes sister you can pay Kaffarah online or to the Imam as long as your intention is to feed 10people twice on the same day. Islamic relief is a very reputable islamic charity so you can trust them if you need to give them any charity or kaffarah in the future.

And Allah knows best in all matters
