Never use the cell phone while it is hooked to the electrical outlet!

A few days ago, a person was recharging his mobile phone at home.
Just at that time a call came in and he answered it with the
Instrument still connected to the outlet.

After a few seconds electricity flowed into the cell phone unrestrained
and the young man was thrown to the ground with a heavy thud.

His parents rushed to the room only to find him unconscious, with
a weak heartbeat and burnt fingers.

He was rushed to the nearby hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Cell phones are a very useful modern invention.

However, we must be aware that it can also be an instrument of death.

hmm meaning when its charging? sounds like the problem was an electrical hitch and not because of the cell phone which can happen with just about any faulty electrical appliance :?

Something doesn't make sense with that story. The charge used on a cell phone sends out very low voltage low amp DC current. What is described would be a high amp AC current which could have caused the battery to explode if it were even possible for the charger to send out such a current.

This sound like a job for snopes:

A similar story happened here before few years. Charging the mobile while putting it on bed...the heat of charging it and putting it on cloth turned to somethine similar to the pictures in the link that Uncle woodrow posted above

but Alhumdulilah no one get harmed, the room was empty. Thats why its dangerous to charge mobile phones or laptop while one is sleeping as well

Any type battery can explode while recharging if either the battery or the charger is faulty. If the equipment is in good shape that is not an issue. Danger from shock is virtually non-existent the voltage involved is so low that it is undetectable with out a sensitve meter.

But the danger from explosion is real and it is hazardous to use any damaged, wrong type or outdated battery or any damaged charger.

It was not caused by cell phone but by its charger.

The principle of cell phone charger is like a water dam. Charger receive and hold 220 volts AC and send only 3 volts DC to cell phone. Imagine if this 'water dam' is break,.... 220 volts on ear !.

when i was working in hotel my friend would keep her cell fone in her pocket in a steaming hot kitchen the battery in her fone exploded in her pocket when a fone is on charge for a long time it dose get a bit hot, what happened is he probably had it on charge 24/7 resulting in this major accident

Not only when recharging. Some type of battery can explode when the cell phone is on.
There was a case that happened several years ago in my kid school. His friend's Nokia cell phone was exploded and hurting his another friend hand. Investigator found, this was caused by its battery.
Regarding to this case, Nokia said : First, there was a trouble in battery of this type and the had recall this type. Second, this exploded battery was not Nokia original battery.

most of the accidents are occuring because of the use of faulty chinese made batteries, people buy them because they are very cheap
