A Plea to Allah for Taufiq and Forgiveness.

Always brings me to tears.....

Ya, My Allah!

Wash all the filth away and change my dead heart,
Make me alive again give me a fresh start.


So change my heart please and wash the filth away,
Don’t leave me drowning here alone and astray.


I spent my life running away from you,
and now i have nowhere to turn except YOU.

I turn to you and i am begging you to be saved,
and change me into an obedient slave


Wash all the filth away and change my dead heart
Make me alive again give me a fresh start.


I have been doing all my life what i craved,
Shaitan and nafs have always had me enslaved.


I am ashamed that i have broken your rules,
worshipped my nafs and pure ignorant fools.


but now i know the path leading me to thee
I bow to you and am asking you to help me!

I wish your name to be engraved in my heart
I will be grateful to you. Change this dead heart.


My heart is dark and so my eyes remain dry
Hypocrisy and hubris won’t let me cry


I’m at your door and begging you let me in!
Don’t push me back to my hopeless life of sin


So change my heart please and forgive my sins this day

May Allah make our hearts alive, especially in ramadan.

as-salaamu alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuhu just wanted to inform the brothers and sisters of an authentic dua that yhe Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa salam used to say, "Yaa Muqallibal Quloob Thaabit qalbee ala deenik wa taa'aatika" Oh Changer of the hearts make my heart firm upon your deen and obedience."

If we knew that the Messenger of Allah (salallahu alaihi wasallam) said one supplication very frequently, what would we do?Well obviously we’d make sure that we said it quite frequently as well!What is the supplication, you ask?Here it is:
Shahr ibn Hawshab said: “I said to Umm Salamah: ‘O Mother of the Believers! What was the supplication that the Messenger of Allah (salallahu alaihi wasallam) said most frequently when he was with you?’She said: ‘The supplication he said most frequently was: “Yaa Muqallib Al-Quloob Thabbit Qalbee Alaa Deenik (O Changer of Hearts, keep my heart steadfast on Your religion).”‘She said: ‘So I said: “O Messenger of Allah, why do you supplicate so frequently: ‘O Changer of hearts, keep my heart steadfast on Your religion.’?He said: ‘O Umm Salamah! Verily, there is no human being except that his heart is between Two Fingers of the Fingers of Allah, so whomever He wills He makes steadfast, and whomever He wills He causes to deviate.”‘So (one of the narrators) Muadh recited: “O our Lord, do not cause our hearts to deviate after You have guided us. [Surah Aal-Imran (3) : 8]“[Sunan At-Tirmidhi, Hadeeth No. 3522. Graded 'saheeh' by Al-Albani in Saheeh Sunan At-Tirmidhi, Hadeeth No. 3522]
