Characteristics of the Hypocrites prayer​
In the name of Allah the Most Gracious Most Merciful

Characteristics of the Hypocrites prayer by Ash-Shaykh Saalih al-Fouzaan may Allah protect and preserve him.

The Shaykh may Allah preserve him says: " There are six characteristics that Allah the Glorified and Most High and the Messenger sallahu 'alayhi wasallam mention about the Hypocrites prayer:

Firstly: He/She doesn't stand for the prayer except that they are lackadaisical.

Secondly: They do not remember Allah in it except a little.

Thirdly: They seek to be seen of the people and they are not afraid of Allah the Most High.

Fourthly: They do not offer it at its proper time.

Fifthly: They do not establish it with the congregation.

Sixthly: They do not have tranquility in it rather they peck like a bird (pray quickly without any serenity).

These are six characteristics about the Hypocrites prayer and Allah's refuge is sought. I ask Allah to protect us and you from them all.

u re abolutely correct my brother, May Allah reward those that pray according to the sunnat and guide us to the right path. Those with the habit of hypocrisy in prayer should try to pray as instructed. Jazakalla hairan:statisfie

i read this earlier today and before i clicked on it, i really feared Allah.

Insha'Allah, it will never be any of us.

Allah Taala says (interpretation of the meaning):

“So woe unto those performers of Salaah (prayers) (hypocrites),

Those who delay their Salaah (prayer from their stated fixed times)” [al-Maa’oon 107:4-5]

And Allah warns those who cause their prayers to be lost by saying (interpretation of the meaning):

“Then, there has succeeded them a posterity who have given up As-Salaat (the prayers) [i.e. made their Salaat (prayers) to be lost, either by not offering them or by not offering them perfectly or by not offering them in their proper fixed times] and have followed lusts. So they will be thrown in Hell” [Maryam 19:59]
 
Well from how i see is that.. Hypocrites whether they are Hypocrites or not are to be judged according to their Deeds and NOT by their prayers...

For example Muhammad (Saw) clearly mentioned the Characteristics of A Hypocrite....



Narrated Abdullah Ibn Amr (r.a) The Prophet (saw) said "Whoever has the following (four) characteristics, will be pure hypocrite and whoever has one of the four, will have one unless he gives it up;

1.Whenever he is entrusted, he betrays.
2.Whenever he speaks, he tells lie.
3.Whenever he makes a covenant, he proves treacherous.
4.Whenever he quarrels he behaves in a very imprudent, evil and insulting manner.

(Bukhari)


So if we DONT find any one of those characteristics in the people, mentioned above, and we see them missing the congregation, or we don't see them prayer properly... i don't think so that we can judge them and think of them as Hypocrites.... because the above characteristics are what makes a man Hypocrite.... not HOW they pray!


So i suggest we keep this in Mind whenever we Speak of Hypocrites...
