Church events? Hmmm

Assalamu Alaikum! Got invited to a church even (baptist) and I am a new Muslim, should I go? There it is a women's conference about healing.

I don't wanna go bc there is sooo much for me to learn in Islam.

I know for Muslims if I am invited somewhere I have to go. Is it the same if u are a Muslim being invited by a Christian?

I don't wanna be the only one to stick out bc in sure I am the only Muslim who was invited.

What are y'all thought, family?
 
I would not go; there is too much of a chance for invitation to shirk, such as praying to Jesus.

And no, just because you are a Muslim and invited somewhere, you do not HAVE to go. :) I don't care how many people invite me, I am not going on Spongebob Squarepant's Rock Bottom Plunge Roller Coaster at the Mall of America EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!
