Comparison of Mushrik Muslims with Hindus

Wow that is really interesting, maybe people do entangle cultural practices which may be deemed harram in Islam.

I've also heard many say that the soul of dead relatives return on a Thursday.

^ actually there is strong effect of hindu culture on normal muslim but who are knowledgeable. infact we dont forgot that b4 islam whole population of indo-pak was hindu and they convert to islam. but many of them still practice things like this, mean they had not fully adopted islam. one other factor is also notable, they are mostly converted to islam by the preaching of Muslims Oliya Kiram like Ali Hijwari RA, Nazam Ud Din oliya RA.so they dont have much personal research/study/knowledge of islam so some of them are involved in bidaas.
BUT alhumdulliah in pakistan ppl are now much aware and mostly religious and knowledgeable ppl dont do such type of stuff.

The article is not making a sweeping generalization of Muslims in subcontinent. It seems some people here on IB need reading comprehension skills and stop getting emotional if they are from subcontinent.

The article clearly states "Mushrik" Muslims (NOT ALL!!) of subcontinent. And it shows those Mushriks in action by the pictures provided.

:sl:

The worst part is that Hindus here have this wrong notion that grave worship is an important part of Islam and all Muslims do it.

This year, on eid milad un nabi a fight broke out between the Muslims and the so called 'Aashik-e- Rusool' because they refuse to slow down the music while passing by the Markaz where Isha Salah was in progress. Fortunately, the police was nearby and resolved the matter. Such incidents have become very common and has tarnished the image of Muslims:(

Only up till recently have I heard that Grave worship takes an active role in some Islamic Countries. I also had little knowledge of the extent of the deviant sects.. and their beliefs. I then researched Bidah (innovation) and was astonished. It breaks my heart to know that there are so-called Muslims who practice this as part of every day life. It breaks my heart to hear of so many deviant sects trying to dilute the Pure, True Message that is Islam perfectly portrayed by our Holy Prophet (Sallahu Alayhi Wasalam).

Biddah is a serious issue, one which the youngsters must learn of and address. Even in my College (I'm 18)- which is a typical White British College with few Muslims, there are so many different sects.. Some believe and take an active role in Milad and one is Ismaeli...

May Allah Ta'ala guide the misguided and make us not of the Zalimeen. Ameen.

there is a large number of very religious and knowledgeable people in pak who do so... even the modern education has failed to change there minds. we will even find highly educated ones involved in i t

This is so true. This is the danger of Innovation. Those who practice innovation never repent, this is because they do not believe they are commiting sins.. when in fact they are commiting one of the worst sins imaginable..

May Allah Ta'ala preserve those who don't take part in innovation. Ameen.

So right! So many people do things thinkin they doing good but in reality they are so far away from the right path. U got good observation skill Ubeyde. :)

Islam has some pagan elements like all the holy days and the Hajj. Religion is big business world wide and has been going on for eons. If a religion is too boring no one will join it.
