Salaam as I stayed up on the 21st night and am looking to do so today too seeing as it is the 23rd, I happened to have a conversation with my sister which confused me a little as she stated that islamically the night comes before the day and the 23rd night would have been last night?! I'm a bit baffled, can someone please confirm is this is true and how the night happens to come before the day
Since the date changes at Sunset time, night for that date comes before the day. You prayed your 23rd taraweeh before keeping the 23rd fast, innit?- Messages

not in islamic calendar either but in Gregorian calendar as well. Look at eve of xmas, it comes before day of christmas. Also, look at every night. Today is friday but today will be Friday night in english but what happens at midnight? next day begins, saturday begins. but it's still night time?
