As salamu alaikum

Depression is real.
You can't tell a depressed person to snap out of it ..
It's not Satan it has nothing to do with evil

It's a medical illness as Sent down by Allah

A depressed person is not at fault for being depressed
It's psychological not a sign of weak faith...

Depression is not a blameworthy medical illness

You should talk about your depression and get therapy
Seek help for it...

God loves you and you should never give up hope...

Wa alaikum as-salam wa rahmatullah,

You're absolutely right — depression is real and very serious. It's not a sign of weak iman or being possessed, as some people mistakenly believe. Just like any other illness, it requires understanding, compassion, and proper care. Therapy, talking openly, and seeking support are all essential steps in the healing journey.

Islam encourages us to care for our mental and physical well-being, and there's no shame in seeking help. I also came across a beautiful Holistic Islamic healing Course that blends Prophetic medicine with modern understanding — it can be a great resource for anyone looking for a faith-based approach to healing.

May Allah grant ease, comfort, and healing to everyone struggling. You're not alone. 💚
