hardish wouldn't really make it cystic (cysts are usually bladder like and fluid filled).. sounds like she might have a hernia.. you may read about it here and see if any of this sounds familiar:

https://health.google.com/health/ref/Hernia

either way I'd insist on a diagnosis.. if she had an ultra sound then for sure the results should have been obvious there and then.. you don't need any contrast material for an ultrasound.. what did they say after the US?
did this take place in the united states? I find it odd that someone would be sent home without being told what they have..

:w:

It just might be a femoral hernia. I was getting worried. Thank you for that sis. I still dont know though coz the description says that it should be tender. I just asked my mum and she said that it isnt tender at all, it gives her no pain and no discomfort when she touches it. She said its just really hard like a rock.

After the US, they couldnt work out what it was so they insisted on a CT after which they still couldnt work it out. The doctor just said "it might be a cyst (thanks for the spelling), go home and if it gets larger, come back..."

No, I live in Australia.

salams...

A few years back i'm having a chronic pain in my gums that i thought i was having a toothache or something. So i went to see the dentist...but dentist can't find any problem with my teeth. She didn't recommend me to pull off any of the teeth though :hiding: lol.

Anyway, then i went to see the normal doctor and i asked them to prescribed me anything that associate with sinus. At that time i just can't find anything relate to it...except for the sinus.

But the pain still won't go away... Then i tried to stop using my facial wash... then after a few days the pain gone. When i used the facial wash again...it comes back. Then i realised i'm having a reaction towards the herbal facial wash.

No one diagnose me...but remember rahmatullah akhi ansuyar nagi... he did confirm that it has an effect on my facial and jaw nerves. :(

not all hernias are painful.. but some of them may certainly strangulate and become gangrenous, so they'd need to be operated on.. and they are usually left be until surgery is needed..

that does sound like trigeminal neuralgia (but Allah swt knows best)

I get so frightened by doctors who just want to take parts of people out without investigation.. lol.. al7mdlillah you'd the good reason to walk away from that..
