If interest comes into ones accounts, no matter how unwanted, can one use that money to help reduce a family members loan where he/she is paying interest on?
Asalaamu ALaikum, the money which was paid as interest should be calculated and given to charity to the poor and needy and those who are eligable for Zakaat. This should be done with the intention of not gaining any reward. In future it is best to change ones account in order to not gain any interest.
