Does Allah Forgive Sins we have Forgotten?

Sometimes, I forget the sins of my past, but when I repent, I give the broad overview. For example, when repenting, if I don't remember the exact details, then I just ask Allah to forgive me for "name of sin". Is this acceptable? Sometimes, I just ask Allah to forgive me for all my sins, including the ones I remember and forget. Will Allah still accept this?
