My name is Beata, this year I'm turning 21, originally from Poland, and yes, I'm a convert (this june there'll be my 6th anniversary in islam). As for my nickname, it has two meanings - bea comes from my name and smile is a smile ;) But when u pronounce it, it may also sound a bit like bismillah. So I liked it.

Welcome Ukhti.

You may already know it, but Poland has a very rich Islamic History prior to the forced conversion to Christianity. So you have returned to your true Polish Roots.

My Family mostly came from Lietuva (Lithuania) on my mother's side I am from the Lipkas. If you search you probably also have some Lipkas Ancestors.

It is indeed a pleasure to have you here.

Correct the Tatars. Lipkas is a Lithuanian name for us. However, quite a few went to Poland also, and in some parts of Poland are referred to as Lipkas.

I forgot there are many of German heritage in Poland.

Ukhti is "My Sister" in Arabic. You will also find it written slightly different. It is impossible to write properly with the English Alphabet.
