Assalamualaikum

My parents are going through hardship and it scares me. I have thought of multiple scenarios of where it could go. Their brothers and sisters have tongues of snakes whispering in their ears for years, that they do not realise how it has break the peace in our home. The last several months I have had to witness the worst come out of my parents, listen to my mother cry, listen to stories from extended family members with no evidence to support them. However my parents accept what they are told without question. I spend most nights crying and have closed in on myself. My mental health has been impacted and so has my health. My parents cannot see the impact on our home. I pray to Allah swt to bring us peace and reconcile my parents. It feels though my answers are not being answered. Do you know of any duas I can recite? Can you please do dua for them and out home.

Wa alaikum assalam dear sister,

My heart truly aches for you. It is so painful to hear how deeply this has affected you, your parents, and the peace of your home. May Allah سبحانه وتعالى surround your family with His mercy, protect you from every evil whisper, and place tranquility where there has been hurt and confusion.

Allah says, “Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.” May He place that rest in your heart and in your home. And Allah also tells us, “Indeed, with hardship comes ease.” So please hold on to hope, even if it feels very far away right now. Your tears are not wasted with Allah, and your du’as are never lost.

I know it is heartbreaking to see people you love being harmed by words, suspicion, and division. But Allah is Al-‘Adl, the Most Just, and He sees every wound that is hidden from others. Turn to Him with a broken heart, because no heart is too heavy for Him to mend. Keep asking Him to reconcile your parents, protect them from harm, and bring back sakinah into your home.

I am making du’a for you, your parents, and your whole family. May Allah soften every hardened heart, expose the truth, remove fitnah completely, and replace pain with mercy, unity, and healing. Ameen.

“O Allah, reconcile our hearts, unite our hearts, guide us to the paths of peace, and save us from trials, what is apparent of them and what is hidden. O Allah, protect her parents, and replace their anxiety with calmness, tranquility, and mercy, and make their home a home of goodness, guidance, and peace. Ameen.”
