dua to ask for something

can a person ask in his/her dua to be married when they are able to? or be engaged ? in every salat during ramadan ? is it more likely to be accepted or we just have to have faith in our dua that we make and believe that Allah swt will bring us that wonderful spouse to us??

You can ask Allah for anything.

In fact we are suppose to ask Allah for all our needs big or small provided they are jaiz.

You Alone we worship. And You Alone we ask for help. Al-Fatiha:4​

The best time for duaa is during prostration in salah when the servant is closest to His Creator. Dua in/after Tajjahud prayers and during Ramadhan the time when a person breaks there fast (Iftari).

If you have a girlfriend/boyfriend and you ask Allah's help in making the marriage happen (due to parents disagreeing or wanting to delay it) then is that a halaal dua? Seen as you have a boyfriend/girlfriend?

InshaAllah things would be more halal for you and more blissful in the future, if you stopped having that girl/boyfriend. And at the same time prayed for marriage to happen, if it is good for you.

Because this way to continue, if the relationship doesn't last, you've decieved your parents and yourselves.
