Yes it is a full member thingy. You will reach full member status after 50 posts. However, the posts have to have some substance and not be simply cut and paste spam to reach the 50 posts.

It will also take an hour or 2 for your status to change after you reach the 50 mark. The system updates roughly once an hour.

When you get time read the FAQ's they will be helpful.
