[emoji422] The guest should immediately notify the host if he has no intention of eating there for some reason or the other. It should not happen that the host prepares food and then all goes to waste. This will cause much grief to the host who underwent inconvenience to make arrangements for the guest.

When visiting the homes of family members, relatives, friends or others we must never be a burden upon them.Visiting unannounced, at awkward times, sitting too long, asking too many questions, speaking too loudly, allowing our children to run a mock if they are with us etc is all unethical.We should also be considerate of those we visit by not allowing them to prepare snacks or meals for us when they are busy, sickly or in a rush to go somewhere.On the other hand when people visit us although we should honour them, we do not have to prepare sophisticated meals & fries etc all the time. A simple snack or glass of water would also suffice.Whether more or less, whatever is served must be from the depth of our hearts.(Mufti Ismail Menk)

[emoji422] Do NOT accompany an invited person to his host's residence. The host, merely OUT of shame may be constrained to ask you to remain for meals, while in actual fact he has NO intention of doing so. This causes difficulty to the host.

Some persons very quickly accept such instant invitations which are made by coincidence. The host may feel belittled if he does not ask you to remain for meals.

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Alhumdulillah 13 etiquettes have been posted in regards to guest. The guest should try and inculcate these etiquettes which will then make it easy for the host and save him from difficulty. May Allah make it easy for us all.
