It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) observed:Three (are the persons) with whom Allah would neither speak, nor would He absolve them on the Day of Resurrection. Abu Mu'awiya added: He would not look at them and there is grievous torment for them: the aged adulterer, the liar king and the proud destitute.

Assalamualykum

Pride in essence is an evil act and condemned in Islam.

If a person who has something and is proud, although not accepted, but to a certain extent has something to be proud about, on the contrary if a person is destitute and proud, how much worse. Has nothing and still proud.

Boasting about ones evil and wrong is a sin after a sin. If one mentions as a lesson for others and to educate others then no problem.

Assalamualaikum.

My ustadz told me that no matter how high my knowledge, this is still just a drop of water in the ocean. Yes, proud destitute is analogy that refer to someone who has no knowledge or has little knowledge but regard himself know everything and always right. So he reject truth that notified by knowledgeable people.

Theres another Hadith which the Rasul :saws: states PrideArrogance/Kibr is to look down on people and to Reject the Truth,

i'll post it when I find the reference

:jz:

heres the Hadith ...

It was narrated from ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Mas’ood that the Prophet :saws: said:No one who has an atom’s-weight of arrogance in his heart will enter Paradise.” A man said, “O Messenger of Allaah, what if a man likes his clothes and his shoes to look good?” He said, “Allaah is Beautiful and loves beauty. Arrogance means rejecting the truth and looking down on people.”

[Narrated in Sahih Muslim]

As for disclosing Sin, it should not be done in general.

One should make Sincere Tawbah to Allah ta'ala and ask his Forgiveness and stop repeating the Sin.
