There are a number of books of hadeeth that have explanations, the 40 hadeeth of imaam an-nawwawi its in Arabic and it is called al- Jaamia Usool wa Hikam also there is a translation of 40 hadeeth in e.flush you can Google it as well. Insha Allaah that would be a great start.
