Sorry if this is the wrong place to put this but I couldn't figure out where it should go!

I am new to this so alot of the arabic words used often in this forum confuse me. Is there a thread (looked and couldn't find one) that has an explanation of what they are? If not can someone make one that could maybe be a sticky so others like myself could know what was going on?
Example: Dua
Fitnah
nikkah
nasheeds
these are just a few. any help would be great!
Thanks

Hey.

I moved the thread because its more suitable in the arabic section.

Dua' means supplication.

Fitnah - Trials/Tribulations.

Nikaah is the Marriage Contract.

Nasheeds - Islamic Songs.

just thought i'd mention that

Nasheeds - songs without any string or wind instruments. so only daff is permissable
