yea this site is very high tech in some ways thats why, im on a few other forums that are way less advance but im sure the servers are dirt cheap

Having had a few web sites in the past. Those prices do not seem out of line. Yes, it is possible to find lower cost, but there is usually a big trade off in support, bandwidth etc. Can end up with a site that is down more often then it is usable.

I think this is a decision best left to the administrators. They seem to be knowledgable and I am confident that they are thinking ahead.

why dont brother you host this site to other server which are more cheaper then this .... sorry i couldnt not reply that topic on that thread so though to help u in this matter , pm me if you wanna know some good and realiable, cheaper then this hosting servers .

Throughout the two years since the creation of LI; we have movied from shared hosting plans (cheap) to vps and dedicated servers. The current server provider is the cheapest amongst the dedicated server providers. The load-islam website and the forum receive on average, thousands of visitors, every day. This forced us to move to a dedicated server and insha'Allaah, in the near future when load-islam.com V2 goes online, traffic will double and we will again be forced to move to a 'bigger' dedicated server. If there were cheaper and reliable servers who offered the requiremed amount of resources to main the websites, then we would have chosen them instead of asking for donations :( but insha'Allaah, this is only temporary as we will resume paying for the server costs starting October.

Just out of interest, what happened about the financial support that was needed for this site? Did it get sorted out?
