I found this good Addon which blocks adverts not pop ups from sites, it makes pages load faster.

You have to have Mozilla FireFox in order to use this addon.

once you've installed it, it already blocks adverts from a lot of common websites but if you want it to block adverts from a website that isn't already being blocked then you must go to Tools>Add Ons> click Ad blocks options and then click "add filter" and then put in your websites name.
