First Ramadan question.

Assalamu Alaikum brothers and sisters.
I have a question

Do you need to go the Masjid everyday during the month of ramadan? I live far from a Masjid and sometimes I don't have enough to go the Masjid everyday. imsad

Wa alaikum salaam.

Whilst great virtue and merit has been attached to going to the masjid, under your circumstances where it is not possible, it is not compulsory. Allah ta'alah will reward you for your intention.

If you are few in the locality the least you can do is get together and pray salaah in congregation.

Also you should attend the masjid whenever it is possible.

I have the same issues with attending the masjid...but Insha allah I will try to make it even if I can only stay for some of the time and then have to leave to catch the last bus home.

Inshallah are situations get better. That's what I do, I go to the Masjid for a few hours and leave after Isha prayer and get 3 taxis de ruta (route taxis) back home.
