Sister I humbly suggest you refrain from diagnosing yourself or listening to the advise of insta net doctors. Also the stomach is a very acidic medium nothing lives there except H pylori if you were going to have a 'bacterial infection' secondly. You can't feel visceral pain as organs are not innervated in the way it is say in the skin so the symptoms wouldn't be as you describe. Can you feel your liver, pancreas or ovaries? of course not, you can have referred pain but not pain from the viscera itself. Try with prophetic medicine but as stated if you have fever above 100 Fahrenheit or your symptoms worsen then just visit the ER. Not everyone can play doctor. God knows even real doctors can't act as doctor when they should!
:w:

masha Allah. Agreed sis.

You have fibromyalgia already? Um I just met a friend 2 weeks ago and his wife has the same condition and he said she described it s pain that she feels "deep inside".
I am not trying to put you down or anything but I have a strong feeling your issue is solved. This is like telling a doctor "my leg is in pain" and the doctor asks "have you done anything to your leg as of lately?" and you respond "I broke a few hours ago".
Fibromyalga is a very odd condition I may add and I have been reading on it for the last couple days ironically because of my online friend. So dont be surprised when you go to the doc and figure out it is just your current condition.

I doubt it's FM. There's too many symptoms related to disturbances in my digestive system. I eat child size portions or I suffer. If I stay hungry for too long I suffer. Defo not FM. Like sis Lamees said, it could be anything. So I'm just gonna wait for that referral to come through insha Allah.

Well all I can do is offer you peace and blessings and lots of support. May the comfort of 1,000 soft cuddly kittens make you sleep well tonight :statisfie .
If those docs are giving you the cold shoulder you better come tell me ya hear?! Those lazy old doctors better find out what is wrong with my sister Snowflake because I dont want her hurting ^o) .

Thank you, that's really kind of you. I'm cool with whatever happens. Allah doesn't do bad for us :statisfie

- awww this is a cute thing to say. I did have 9 cats comfort me in sleep once...so I can imagine what 1000 kittens would be like ;)

for the ultrasound appointment, get after them, ask to be called as soon as there's a cancellation. Sometimes you can get in earlier this way, Inshallah.

I am surprised your shocked by me saying that as I am sure I have said it before. I use that expression to show endearment but usually I say "may you find happiness from 1,000 fluffy kittens licking your feet". But a lot of people are grossed out by the tongue thing so I just leave it out :p . I don't own a cat but I liked them anyways as you can tell from my display image.

By the way do you have any catnip? if ya do that would be "purrrrrrrfect".

"may you find happiness from 1,000 fluffy kittens licking your feet"

lol sounds like torture :hiding:

Al hamdulillah the hospital just called to say they've booked me in for Mid July. That's still four weeks but better than waiting for eight! :statisfie

In the UK if you go to the ER do you have to pay the bill yourself or part of it?

Surprised it hasn't been mentioned, but if it is gallstones then stay away from fatty food. Ingesting fat is a stimulus for the gallbladder to contract and release bile. If there is a stone in the gallbladder and it gets lodged along the way it causes the gallbladder and the ducts to expand, which gives you the feeling of pain. If the stone gets stuck further along the duct it could lead to pancreatitis. Symptoms usually resolve once the stone has passed or is no longer obstructing the ducts.

If the stone isn't permanently impacted, but you're still having symptoms it really is your choice if you want to have the gallbladder removed. If you do decide to want it removed then go to the ER during a particularly prolonged attack and get it over with. Sounds like waiting X amount of weeks for an US and then another X amount of weeks for possible surgery is rather unnecessary.

Of course it could be something completely different.

Asalaam Aleikum,

Sounds like you would benefit from a good detox if you have many digestive issues. First things to come to mind is a clogged up liver(which causes a number of illnesses as this is the filter of the human body) and gall bladder issues. Along with black seed, you should be cleaning out that liver and getting rid of fatty grime lingering around (that's what it actually is lol gross I know). If the pain is in the upper abdominal area, it could very well be gallstones. You can actually remove those yourself. I was havingr egular pains like that myself, and any kind of emotional disturbance or too much food, too little food...and at some point all food :hmm: caused a great deal of pain, sometimes I couldn't even talk because it knocked the wind out of me.

If it's upper middle abdominal pain (it wont be exactly on the organ, I think sis bluebell was talking about this. It will be in a general area but internal pain is different from external. ) Then it more than likely iss gallbladder issues.

If its your pancreas, it will be more towards your back and lower.

I don't really like doctors, hospitals or anything like that so, I went natural, which is my suggestion to you, since you are stuck waiting anyway. I cut off all greasy and processed food of any kind, upped my water, did a two week treatment of Black Seed Oil and after that I started detoxing with a Raw Apple Cider Vinegar
http://prophetic-medicine.blogspot.com/2009/06/vinegar-and-its-uses.html (be sure to dilute it... ehum or u can get in trouble :phew ) and raw honey tonic. My skin has cleared up and every ache and pain is gone pretty much, Alhamdullilah :D I wish I had done all of this sooner. We have to remember that we are what we eat, whatever u put into your body is going to affect you, so first step is to cut off anything that triggers the problem or makes it worse. Spices, Grease, Process foods out. Thats step 1.

Hope you get to feeling better Ukhti!

All medical treatment including emergency (ER) is paid for by the tax payer. However, more and more services are being withdrawn from the NHS (national health service) and there's plans to privatise the NHS with only a few urgent services remaining free.

Jazak Allah khayr for the info. The pain in the upper right quadrant isn't as bad and comes and goes. What is worse and doesn't go is the pressure in the centre of the upper abdomen. Even drinking water, eating cereals makes it worse. Strangely coffee helps! I may have more than one problem going on here and will only know after the scans next month insha Allah.

Wa alaykum assalam wa rahmatullahi wb,

Aw thanks sis. Al hamdulillah you got your health back :statisfie

I'm a sucker for alternative remedies. I just wish to wait for the scans before I launch into a specially devised health regime for ALL my ailments. (There's more lol :embarrass). I'm currently taking a few remedies to make the situation bearable. I cannot stress enough the wonders of chewing mint and parsley leaves in bringing me relief during attacks. Oh and the added bonus of ever lasting fresh breath is priceless. I actually woke up with my breath smelling minty and parsleyish :D I do use apple cider vinegar on the occasions I get acid indigestion. I'll also try it the way you described insha Allah. Jazaki Allah khayr for all the tips :)

Mint (nana)--The most subtle and refined of pot herbs, mint is heating and drying. Mint strengthens the stomach, cures hiccups, and encourages sexual activity. Placed in milk, mint will prevent it from turning to cheese.

Parsley (karafs)-A Hadith states that eating parsley just before sleep will cause one to awaken with sweet breath.... < TRIED & TESTED!
