Salaam Alaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu.

Please dont, think I am a strong muslim for my long salaam, in fact i am a weak one.

I always used to stand in the verge of losing my faith in the face of adversity.
Now not so much, but the doubt still comes in every now and then.

Then i heard that its supposed to mean that Allah loves us when we go through pain,
And that Allah subhanallahu ta'la is purging out sins through our pain.

So that kept me good for a while. But, i dont know. Lateley, seems like its confusing.

anyway.. too much in the introductory post. I would like to know where can I post these types of questions? So I get the optimum answer..
And to tell you about me. I am not into "No music" "no shows" kind of Muslim. So if this place is like that. Then I guess I am in the wrong place?

Jazaka Allahu khair for applying the Sunnah with your salam. Despite that you do not want us to think that you have a strong faith then applying the Sunnah especially nowadays is a great deed and a sign of faith.

I should also start this message with:

Bismi Allahi wa salatu wa salam alaa nabiiyuna Muhammed wa alaa alihi wa ashabihi ajmaeen.

Which does not mean that I am a sheikh or something but it is also Sunnah and the more we apply the better for ourselves because it is all blessing, protection, guidance etc.

Concerning what you say about music and maybe other HARAAM things then this is really bad and probably a lack of knowledge or weakness of the nafs towards things which one gets attached to. No doubt music is HARAAM and unfortunately just writing about it in your message suggests that you may accept music or not be too strict. This is how I read it but I may be wrong. The good thing is that you are anonymous but that does not mean we should act less responsibly on the internet. So I would delete that about the music as it is such a widespread evil that millions of Muslims accept as normal and some even see as something positive.

Concerning what you say about being tested then it is a sure sign of faith and we are all tested in different ways. Whatever comes to pass then we should always ask ALLAH SWT for help and then maybe ask a scholar or the like for help and advice. Internet works both ways, that is, it may help but it may certainly also harm you. If you can contact a scholar then that is better. It is easy nowadays to find contact details on different websites and then call the sheikh by phone. For really serious personal questions then you can also look for a really good and pious person. For scholarly questions then Saudi Arabia or those who adhere to the minhaj (methodology) of the salaf-us-saleh (pious predecessors). Europe or USA do not have any scholars although some may call themselves as such.

About music, there is no way one can avoid it. There is music of nature, birds, rain, forests etc.
And in one hadith, the prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) was seen to have asked for music at a wedding party.

And Islam is supposed to be in the middle.

So maybe the Haram part of music is the content and the mind altering influence it might have.

Also, i have seen a lot of differing opinions between Hanafi Salafi Maliki, for a lot of things. And I have been following Hanafi school of thoughts, since birth, so it would be better I stick to that, since it is said, that If someone sticks to one school of thoughts its better that they stick to that particular way. Instead of mixing them all up. And I its logical and practical like that instead of going to each and every school of thoughts and arguing about who is right.

I mean Islam is supposed to be in the middle of the spectrum, not hard not easy. Just normal.

And I see i made a lot of typing errors, i mean, I think its logical and practical to stick to one school of thoughts.

I have seen those hadiths, and in almost all of them it is talking about drinking, dancing and singing girls.

So Correct me if I am wrong, brother Yunussalaf, and anyone else, but I think its kind of clear that he prohibited music that is bad for us.
OR else, why would the Messenger of Allah (Peace and blessings be upon him) listen to it himself instead he stopped his friend from scolding the singing girls.

Hope i am making sense.

Because in all of those Hadits regarding Music being prohibited, the music was accompanied by liquor, and a very bad environment.

Plus, music has been scientifically proven to help us mentally.

May Allah forgive me if I am wrong, but I wasnt able to find the hadith about the wedding party. But, I have stated the other hadiths, that are apparently from Bukhari. Which is considered the highest for Hadith.

Alhamdulilah Wa Salaatu Wa Salaam Ala Nabbiyana Mohammed Wa Ala Ahlihi Wa Ashaabihi Ajmaeen.


Sister musical instruments are considered haram.Only duff is allowed in any kinda decent songs.Moreover the beautiful Tala Al Badru Alayna was a nasheed not song with music.

Songs are allowed in weddings but without musical instruments.With duff maybe.

Many of us listen to it considering it haram sin ful & we agree on doing this on basis of low imaan but not making it HALAL
