Help Me to Battle with My Nafs

I have battled with my nafs every moment

I have tried again and again, I have lost again

I have not given hope, I battle again

However I lost again



God, help me

make it easy for me to battle my nafs

I will definitely battle it, it’s a fard requirement

So that I will not be blocked in search of You

Please help me God, have pity on me

If you leave me

I will fall right into the swamp of sins

My nafs often disturb me

They cooperate with the condemned (cursed) Satan

Everyday it antagonise me

When I wish to be faithful to You



God help me, God have pity on me

Do not leave me alone

to face Satan and the nafs

I wish to be faithful to You

I wish for your acceptence (redha)

If You leave me

I will surely be frustrated



God I will try again to battle my nafs

With Your help and Grace (rahmat)

I will not lose hope

I will continue to struggle

with hope of help from You
