Assalamwalekum,

What is the ruling in Islam about shaving hair on the chest???

Asalaamu Alaikum Wr Wb, it can be trimmed a little but not shaven completley as this will be seen as feminising oneself and imitating a women by wanting a completley hairless body and it would also be seen as changing the creation of Allah how he wanted us to be. But it can be trimmed a little short if it is too bushy.

and a chest with no hairs is not that attractive :X
