Hi,

I am a student from the UK.

A couple of basic questions to begin with:

1. How do I upload or link to a custom avatar?
2. How do I create a signature?

I couldn't find anything in the User CP to allow me to carry out the above, is it because I am a new member?

As 4 ur questions, go to 'quick links' at the header and select 'edit profile'

The options to add a custom avatar or signature are not there.

Never mind, I have found the reason why:

Limited members are not able to:

* view profiles of other members
* set the invisibility mode
* use custom title
* use signatures
* view profile pictures
* view private custom fields
* upload profile pictures
* send any private messages
* use the reputation system

Limited members are also restricted from replying in the Introduce yourself forum except in their own Introduction topic.

And yeah, the 50 posts thing is pretty annoying. I remember it took me a good couple of months before I became a regular member, but if you're more chatty than I am, you could probably get it done much quicker. Have fun!
