Asalaamulakim ummah, my question is that I am considered a middle aged woman bow, single, working in corporate america & really not all that attractive, I am past the childbearing age & I have read (V60) [al-nur] & understood that hijab is optional for me. Can anyone relate, confirm and/or give me your insight in this?

The quran says that if a woman is past child bearing and does not draW a veil, then there no blame on her. Allah knows best. HOWEVER if you feel you will draw attractive and attention, best to cover yourself. You will be rewarded more inshallah
