Hotel management??

Asalamualaikum,

I am about to finish my A level. I am planning to study Hotel management and my husband said its fine but my friends are telling me that girls that do that are low in morale... So can someone tell me if that is true and that its haram to study it or is my husband right and it is halal as long as I make sure not to work with haram things like alcohol.

I read that it's the part of the syllabus in hotel management about alcohol , bar etc . U must learn there how to serve drink , how to make cocktail , how to manage bar etc .In that case u must not study it .



Try to know about the syllabus first and then talk to a mufti .

Learning how to do it doesn't mean actually putting the knowledge to any use. If you plan on owning your very own hotel then you should have the option. Is there any...uh...in-field training or whatever you'd call it?

Well I want to study it in Dubai and of cause any courses to do with alcohol are optional and i would not have to participate nor have anything to do with it as it is an Islamic country...
