How can you tell an opinion is an isolated opinion that we should not follow?

You cannot prohibit someone to follow an opinion, but someone will prohibit himself to follow an opinion if he know that this opinion is wrong.

So do not say "Don't follow this opinion!", but explain why this opinion is wrong.

If the person is reliable then he should be followed.
Nobody perfect. Reliable person can make wrong opinion too.

This is a very vague question .

In a community of followers of tradition, and one person questions it or tells something different will probably get opposition although with better knowledge the practice may be bid'ah...

So it is not so straight forward..

:peace:
