I am in the 11th grade, and I am 17, and I am in a alternative school program within a school for 3 of my classes as part of special ed accomodations.....My father said I have to be out of the program for all of 12th grade before he can take me to Turkey to see my family. My social worker does not believe I should leave, saying I need the support due to my panic attacks......but I think I am ready and I haven't seen my relatives in 3 years.......and even when I saw them, I only saw my cousins and my aunt and uncle for a day......
to make things more complicated, I used to talk on the phone with my 15 year old female cousin a lot, and when I was 15 and she was 13 I told her I was in love with her astagfirullah, and I never heard from her again.....
except for this exchange: (her: "um....you know....me, too!" me: okay, well I gotta go, bye. her: bye.....) we later added each other on instagram, but she deleted all of my comments, and when I asked why, she blocked me......
and when I was in the 8th grade and I was visiting them I was committing lots of haram such as hugging my cousin and footsieing her as I was not even Muslim at the time (it was a long time ago)......so to summarize, my dad is suspicious of me and wants me to prove that I can act like a man, before he takes me.....he was also furious at me for calling them constantly.......(I had autism and was very lonely, and got overexcited at the tiniest bit of attention)...... I won't commit haram again, but I want to be able to see them, to hear their voices, at least my grandparents, especially my grandfather before he dies (he's getting very old and getting deaf)....I haven't heard from them or seen them in years, and I want to see them, but my father says I have to leave the special ed program....if I can't, how do I convince him otherwise?
