If the Muslim sabbath is Friday, and Friday is a workday, and it think I have seen a midday service posts at a mosque, so how do you deal with the timing? What do you do if you cannot attend during your lunch break?

Greetings Zabel,

Usually it is made easy to attend the Friday Prayer, as facilities are quite widespread in schools, colleges, universities, hospitals, airports, offices and various other workplaces. Sometimes the service is as short as 15 minutes or less, and kept concise due to limited time. Other times there may be two congregations (in prayer rooms) at different times to accomodate people whose lunch break is at an earlier/later time. Where there may not be a break at that time, a person can then try and request for it and often people are understanding. And one will often find that where there is a will, there is a way.

I miss the friday prayer quite a lot. May Allaah forgive me. It rips me apart sometimes but my job takes me to some situations/locations that its impossible to leave.

I dunno, this is the one thing making me seriously consider finding another job.

its a struggle every week at the moment

Many of the men that I know attend Jumah at a mosque near their work, while still considering the mosque near their home as their "regular" mosque where they attend with their family. I'm in the States, where accommodation is supposed to be possible, but asking for it is always tricky. I am lucky to have an office with a door that closes so I can pray in my office.
