A Muslim means one who submits to god.There is only one god.If u believe this u will get to heaven but u have to act like a muslim if not ur gonna be spending a long time in hell.Before going to heaven.

A muslim in order to reach heaven needs to obey God, Submit to him.

The answer is complicated and should actually be given by a scholar but i will try my best to answer simply.


As a muslim every bad we do, we will be questioned for, every good we do, we will be rewarded for.

Our intentions must always be correct.

If we submit.. fully.. pray.. give charity.. perform pilgrimage when we are able.. and strive in the way of God, then through his mercy, if he in his knowledge deems fit, he will guide us towards such actions which will help us attain his mercy and thus enter heaven.


To THINK one is going to heaven is WRONG! The companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) were given the glad tidings that they are guaranteed a position in heaven (due to their amazing sacrifices for islam), yet they feared displeasing God..

this is what you call true submission.

i hope this is not a loaded question, we get christians trying this all the time on the da'wah stall in leicester and this is an extremly common misconception that the christians attempt to use against the muslims by saying that muslims believe we enter jannah (heaven) through deeds.

this is incorrect, we could never do enough deeds to take us to jannah, as whatever we do then this is also from the blessings of Allah we were able to do this.

but Allah gives us the promise if we have faith in Allah, and act upon the covenant he has made with us then he will give us jannah out of his mercy.

imaan (faith) however is not just what is in your heart, it is also what is shown through words and actions, so all three together have to be together, the muslim who tells you they don't practice but their faith is strong has misunderstood faith totally.

i think you have misunderstood the islamic position slightly, for the true beleiver in islam hell may be his destination after the day of judgement but his stay there is not perminent and after Allah has judged his time to be enough he will be freed from hell and granted paradise.

for the disbeliever, even including those who claim islam but do acts of major disbelief and for the hypocrite their stay in hellfire is perminent.

the Hellfire for Kafir is eternal, just as Kafir will eternally Kafir to Allahu Ta'ala, eventhough they are born again to this world(Al Qur'an).

Jannah is made eternal by Allahu Ta'ala as the Hellfire is eternal.

That is probably the most idiotic misconception about Islam that is circulating in todays world. Sadly many people who have neither the time nor the desire to learn about Islam actually believe that is part of Islamic teaching.

It is not only a falisfy spread about us, it is also offensive to many of us.

Sadly there are actually non-Muslims who believe that to be one of our beliefs. Perhaps if that is one misconception we can remove from the minds of those who do not understand Islam, we can accomplish our own little bit in sharing our Wonderful way of life.

To the non Muslims who do believe that. sorry it is an erroneous belief. We can't get to Jannah by blowing ourselves up and we do not have parties in which we pass the dynamite.

Suicide bombers are simply that-- suicide bombers . They have no place in Islam.

Just for general information, not all suicide bombers have been Muslims there have been and are Christian and Jewish ones even among Palestinians. Not all Palestinians are Muslim, but all Palestinians are oppressed.

I'd add that we humans cannot judge who's gonna go to heaven & who's going to hell..

Suicide is haram, whether someone drinks themself to death or uses a bomb. Obviously bomb is worse as it also harms (kills) innocent people who are victims of murder. Murder of innocent is also haram. How people calculate that a 2 in 1 haram AIO gets them paradise is very much a brainless ideology. "Evil" multiplied by 2 does not equal "good":
"2(Evil) ≠ Good" is true.
"2(Evil) = Good" is false, but is the common misconception.

The Quran does not teach the killing of innocent, but that is what the political "scholars" today are teaching. Whenever these political scholars are involved in any matter, it causes problems for the entire Muslim community, as many Muslims today are not educated in knowledge of their Religion, and they know very little about the Quran.

The Quran is a book that many read regularly, yet hardly any of them actually read it.

I am talking quite specifically about the word reading, as suppose to the words "making noise". When you read a piece of text, a book, an article, or anything such as a newspaper etc; when "reading" you understand what you are reading, you read with the correct expression, the correct attitude and focus for the material in question; this means that you have read that piece of text. The Quran however is not read, people just make noises that they do not even understand. The reason for this is explained in the Quran, that they have left the path of Allah, they have taken the path of shaitan, into kufr. They have become deaf, they cannot hear what they are reading. They have become dumb, they cannot read what they are reading. They have become blind, they cannot see what they are reading. The kalam of Allah has become a noise for them, a noise which has to be interpreted through means of other unintelligable noises, as well as the Roman philosophical schools of curruption. "Schools" does not mean education centres, it means gatherings, e.g. "a school of whales", "a pack of wolves" etc.
