How to be pious Muslim?

I want to be a pious Muslim in short time. So, is there anything I should do in order to achieve taqua?

Being pious is only by obeying Allah (swt) and following the sunnah.

Once you are praying 5 daily prayers (in the mosque with jamaat as much as you can) within their correct times, and nothing stops you from praying too, I.e. if the only place you can pray is a public place like park or hospital then you'd pray it, and you're following the sunnah such as you're growing the beard, wearing sunnah clothes, or even trying to sleep, eat and walk sunnah* etc (basically you should do everything in the sunnah way down to even cutting your nails in the sunnah order), then you'll be a pious Muslim

So keep practicing and aim to gradually get to the full practice of Islam

The quicker you start doing all of the above, the quicker you'll become pious, so it's upto you

I'm afraid there is no majical dua, there is no one daily quick tasbih or something that makes you pious.... it's ONLY getting to that above described full and complete practice of Islam

PS: Its that full practice too that gets a person jannah without reckoning and crossing siraat like lightening..... nothing else

* sunnah of eating is sitting on floor and eating, sunnah of sleeping is sleeping in the 'recovery position' facing to your right and sunnah of walking is walking on the right side of pavement and with eyes looking mostly down (as Allah says 'lower the gaze); it's not fard to do these things, but the more sunnah you follow, the more pious you'll be.

You should pray as many fard salah in mosque as you can and jummah salah on Friday should never be missed.

Also a Muslims duty is to learn as much Islamic knowledge as he can and call others towards Islam. If you inculcate all these things in your life, you'll truly be a pious Muslim

And let me add one more important thing here. The most important obedience to Allah and following of the sunnah is to be a nice beautiful person at heart, so the effect all the worship should have on you is it should turn you into a loving caring patient, forebearing kind gentle charitable soul, if it doesn't have this effect then something is drastically wrong and it means you're not doing the worship with proper sincerity...

One of the features of the pious is truthfulness and the acknowledgement of truth. In this relation, God says: “And he who brings the truth and (he who) accepts it as the truth, these are they that guard (against evil).”1

The commentators of the Holy Quran consider “he who brings the truth” as Gabriel and “he who accepts it as truth”as the Messenger of Allah (SAW).

Other commentators have said that the first one refers to the Holly Prophet (a.s.) and the second one to Imam Ali (AS).

There are other commentators who believe that the first one includes all the prophets and the second one includes their nations.

We should not, however, limit the meaning of the pious to special narrations. In describing the pious and speaking about righteousness, God says,

“It is not righteousness that you turn your faces towards the East and the West , but righteousness is this that one should believe in Allah and the last day and the angels and the Book and the prophets, and give away wealth out of love for Him to the near of the kin and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer and the beggars and for (the emancipation of) the captives, and keep on prayer and pay the poor-rate; and the performers of their promise when they make a promise , and the patient in distress and affliction and in time of conflicts; these are they who are true (to themselves) and those are they who guard (against evil)”.2

In traditions, the master of the pious, Imam Ali (AS), has been considered as the true example of this verse.3

God has said: “O you who believe! Be careful of (your duty to) Allah and be with the truthful.”4

In a tradition narrated by Imam Baqir (AS), we read: “…be with Ali ibn Abi Talib and the household of Mohammad.”5

Some great scholars have confirmed Imamate of the infallible imams with this verse. Invoking Mohaqqeq Toosi in his book, Tajreed, they have argued that God has ordered all believers to be with the true ones. Beyond doubt, to be with the true ones does not mean to be with them physically, but it means to follow their path ideologically, their deeds and their speeches. The above-mentioned verse obviously shows that God the All-Wise does not order His servants to follow the wrongdoers. Therefore, these truthful ones must be free from all kinds of sins, and hence infallible.

Do you realise this is shia deviant stuff bro?, to believe in infallibility of 'Imams' is extremely deviant, maybe even to the point of kufr. I think you didn't realise you were copying and pasting from shia site?, or are you a shia?

I'll mention some more sunnahs that can be implemented in daily life; these will be without the references but just take my word for it! :Emoji51:

There is dua for almost everything and if you mention that before you commence the act, the action itself becomes sunnah/worship

Dua for sleeping is: Allahumma biismika amutuahiya

Dua before eating: bismillahi baraklana fimarazakthana wakina azabannar. Or just bismillahi Rahman niraheem

Due for going out of house: bismillahi tawakaltu alala walahowla walaquwata illah billah hilaliyul azeem

Dua after finish eating: Alhamdulillah hilazi ath'amana sakana waja'alana minal muslimeen

Dua after waking up: Alhamdulillah hilazi ahiyana ba'dama amathana wailayhin nushoor

Dua when looking into mirror: Allahumma hasantha kalqi kulukul azeem

Dua when commencing walking in streets: subhanallahi wabihamdihi subhanAllahil Azeem (there after you can do zikr subhanAllah walhamdulillah walailaha illellahu Allahuakbar)

Dua when on transport: subhanAllahzi sakharalana haza wamakunna lahumuqrineen wa inna ila rabbina lamun kaliboon

Dua when entering masjid: Allahummaf thahli abwaba rahmathik

Dua when leaving masjid: Allahumma inni-asaluka minfadlik

Step into masjid with right foot, step out of masjid with left foot

Eat with right hand

Wash your backside with left hand

After urinating you have to wash your 'dingy' with water; hold with tissue and walk around (or in confined space take some steps and hop a bit) a bit so all drops come out and then wash.

Make sure you wash your backside too after numero deux. Don't be like kuffar not washing your backside +o(. If water not available then you can wipe with tissue but make sure the filth doesn't spread more than the space of a 2 pound coin, then you can still do wudhu and pray and no need to wash. But if you feel it's spread more than that space then you'd have to wash before wudhu and prayer

And generally you can just say bismillahi Rahman niraheem before doing anything worth doing

When you enter your home from outside, it's important to say bismillahi Rahman niraheem so that satan does not enter with you

If you have had bad dream, once you wake up, say Auzubillah himinash shaytan nirajeem and dry spit three time on the left hand side and then this dream cannot harm you.

And wear the sunnah cap on your head. This is the sign of a Muslim nowadays. It's sort of like the man's 'hijab' :Emoji51:

If you incorporate all of above including the fard, sunnah and wajib salaahs, then you'll surely be well on your way to being a friend (wali) of Allah (swt)

And last but not least, repeat lots of durood daily!

My brother, if you want to have a high position in all kinds of good deeds, to be a devoted slave of Allaah and to honour your parents, and you are seeking Paradise, then you have to do the following:

1 – You have to revive the faith in your heart. Faith is what will bring the Muslim everything he seeks in this world and in the Hereafter. Faith is the key to all goodness and locks the door to all evil. The means of reviving and strengthening faith in one’s heart are many and varied, including doing a lot of acts of worship and righteous deeds.

2 – You must turn to your Lord sincerely, as it says in the report: “If My slave turns to me inwardly and outwardly, I will turn the hearts of My slaves to him with love and mercy.”
Allaah has made worship the ultimate aim and loftiest purpose of man:
“And I (Allaah) created not the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone)”
[al-Dhaariyaat 51:56 – interpretation of the meaning)]

3 – You should always set your sights on the highest degrees, and make your goal in life to earn the pleasure of Allaah, and strive to attain the victory of Paradise, or to attain the highest Firdaws. You should strive as hard as you can to achieve these lofty aims.

4 – You should follow the example of historical Muslim figures such as the Sahaabah, Taabi’een and righteous forebears (the salaf).

5 – You should make the most of every minute, every moment and every heartbeat to use it in such a way as to increase your faith.

6 – You should try to keep company with righteous people, because the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, “A man will follow the religion of his close friend, so let each one of you look at whom he befriends.” Narrated by Abu Dawood and al-Tirmidhi with a hasan isnaad. Good friends are one of the best means of helping you to obey Allaah and to avoid sin and error.

7 – Doing a lot of righteous deeds which will bring you happiness in this world and in the Hereafter.

8 – Praying qiyaam al-layl, making du’aa’ in the time just before dawn. The feet of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to swell because of his desire to be a thankful slave, even though Allaah had forgiven his previous and future sins.

9 – Persisting in reading a portion of Qur’aan daily, and other dhikr that helps you to think and ponder the meanings of the Qur’aan.

10 – Striving to spread the word and make da’wah for the sake of Allaah, and working for Islam as much as possible.
