how to pay zakat

i am wanting to pay zakat, my next paycheck will be on the 28th of this month
do i wait until this money is also in the bank and then calculate zakat or do i just calculte it on what i have currently

yes
i have around 5800 in bank right now, no other valuable items
id say i will spend around 2000 over the year
how much zakat do i have to pay
