Salamu Aleikum brother.
If you mean that our beloved prophet Muhammad s.w.s. talked about guarantee of jannah the let me tell you that he did not.
The thing is that he could not make such a guarantee because in the Holy Qur'an it says:
Verse- 46:9
Say, “I am not something original among the messengers, nor do I know what
will be done with me or with you. I only follow that which is revealed to me, and
I am not but a clear warner.”
None of us can be hundred percent sure that we will be granted Paradise; therefor it is extremely important to obey the laws and commands of Allah (s.w.t.) as best as possible.
Anyone is urged to correct me if Im wrong about this.
I'm not an expert my self and every day I try to learn and read from the Holy Qur'an, I really advice you to do the same before claiming something is from our prophet s.w.s.
Allah s.w.t. knows best.
May Allah guide us all to the right path.
Then what about the narration I posted? Did looked as if it was my words or his? To be honest, I dont tell lies about any prophets or Allah, thats too dangerous. I only tell what they say. So, if the Prophet said it, then this must be from Allah. I posted on the "hadith of the day" thread. But, I'll try to find its sourse so that you will know.
I have found the exact hadith for this:
Abu Hurairah Radiyallahu 'anhu narrates that once Nabi Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam asked Bilal (Radiyallahu 'anhu) at Fajr Salat:
O Bilal!
Tell me that deed of yours
which is most hopeful (for reward)
after embracing Islam,
for I heard your footsteps in front of me in Paradise
(in my dream).
Bilal (Radiyallahu 'anhu) replied:
I have not done anything extroadinary except that
whenever I perform Wudu during the day or night,
I Salat (Tahiyatul-Wudu) after that,
as much as was written or granted for me.(Bukhari)
Abu Huraira Radhiallahu �anhu narrated that Allah�s Messenger Shalallahu �alaihi wa Salam said to Bilal Radhiallahu �anhu �Tell me about the most hopeful act (i.e one which you deem the most rewarding with Allah) you have done since your acceptance of Islam because I heard the sound of the steps of your shoes in front of me in paradise.� Bilal said : �I do not consider any act more hopeful than that whenever I make ablution (wudoo) at any time of night or day, I offer salah (prayer) for as long as was destined for me to offer.� Narrated by Al-bukhari and Muslim.
There is no Muslim who performs wudu and performs it well and then stands and offers 2 units of prayer with devotion of heart and mind in the two of them, except that Paradise becomes guaranteed for him” ~ Muslim 288
What does that suppose to mean? Does it mean that Paradise becomes obligatory for that person to enter or what?
